I was driving down the road the other day and passed a church. What surprised me was the signs set out front with large arrows pointing toward the back...they read Holy Spirit Parking. I had to take a double look and started to laugh. However, after a few moments I grew sad, as I realized that is exactly what most of us do in our lives. We park the Holy Spirit in the back of our plans, in the back of our days, in the back of our lives... and go about doing church and claiming to be Christians.
We forget that the way we became a Christian was to accept Jesus Christ into our lives... and when we do that He sends the Holy Spirit to come and live in us. That presence should be alive and front in our daily living.
Those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit Desires
So, starting today, instead of parking the Holy Spirit in the back of your life... Put him out front at the entrance of your life so that He can work in you and others can see Him and feel His presence in your life.
