A Door Standing Open  by Lorilyn Roberts

We all understand the purpose of a door. Even my cats know. My indoor cats won’t enter the front door to go outside. My outdoor cats won’t enter the front door to come inside. Doors separate one world from another. They provide entries and exits. In the Bible, some are open and some are closed.

In Revelation 4:1, John talks about a very unusual door. The door is different in two respects. It separates the external world from the spiritual world, and it’s a time portal to the future.

A voice that sounded like a trumpet said to the disciple, John. “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

Our earthly bodies cannot cross the barriers of what I call the seventh dimension. Instead, we must enter through a spiritual door—as John did.

I used fantasy in the Seventh Dimension Series to show the spiritual reality that exists on the other side of that door, I wanted to stretch people’s minds into understanding concepts throughout the Bible not easily understood in a physical world.

I’ve found the more I enter into this spiritual world, the more spiritual warfare I encounter, and the more I feel God’s presence as He defends me with His weapons of mass destruction.

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to Him…

My passion runs deep for the unsaved, and in the Seventh Dimension Series, I draw on Revelation in ways that would appeal to a younger, unchurched audience. The first book in the Seventh Dimension Series is The Door.

If you are not a believer in Jesus, The Door might be a book you would enjoy. I never use the words Christian, Jesus, heaven, or sin. The Door would also be a winnable alternative for someone who comes from a Jewish background.

I want to remind readers, even though time ticks slowly, it travels in the blink of an eye. I just turned sixty, and it seems like only yesterday when I was chasing fireflies on moonlit nights and cuddling my childhood pet dog, Gypsy.

I believe time is short for Jesus’ return, and if I’m wrong, time is still short because time is fleeting. In the Seventh Dimension Series, I introduce a recurring theme, “Time is an illusion until God’s appointed times.”

We think we have all the time in the world—until we don’t.

The first book in the series, The Door, is free as an e-book.
“The City” is on sale for $.99 (ONE DAY ONLY)
Saturday, June 25, on . . .

I hope to start the fifth book in the Seventh Dimension Series soon.

In Seventh DimensionThe Door, a young girl, Shale, suffers from rejection and lives in a broken, unloving home. A stray dog befriends her, and she follows it into the woods. There she discovers a door that leads to another world.

In Matthew 7:13, Jesus said, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”

How narrow is the narrow gate? The only way through that narrow gate is through Jesus. He is the door in Seventh DimensionThe Door, and the Bible tells us He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Your narrow gate will be different from mine and from Carole’s, but The Door is same for all of us.

I hope you will pick up my free e-book, Seventh DimensionThe Door. I’m also giving away a free e-book or signed copy of the latest book in the series, Seventh DimensionThe City. Leave a comment for a chance to win.

Here is a quote to ponder from The City.

Confusion is our friend. Order is our foe. We must fill hearts with fear and deny hope to all humankind. We must unite parts of our vast empire into a one world government and make Jerusalem the capital.”

The demons and fallen angels praised the cunning craftiness of Lucifer.

Most humans take at face value what they are told, like sheep led to the slaughter. We need gullible patrons to buy into the lie that political correctness requires tolerance. And who are the slaughterers?”

We are,” the crowd roared.

Remember, as you read The Door and The City, as well as other books in the Seventh Dimension Series, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us. (Romans 8:37).
