Storm Front: A tornado has destroyed a small Minnesota community and among the missing are not only a group of students but PEAK Rescue team leader Chet King. Ty Remington will stop at nothing to rescue his mentor, not even when the girl he loved--and lost--walks back into his life. But Brette needs his help more than he knows, despite her stubborn determination to push him away. And when he gets a second chance, loving her just might cost him more than he can imagine.
A blogger for Vortex Storm Chasers, Brette Arnold didn't expect her adventures to land her in the same place as Ty, the guy who she walked--no, ran--from over a year ago. She had her reasons--good ones. The kind that tell her that falling for him again would only lead to heartache. But Ty isn't the kind of man to give up--not on the missing students, or on her.
Life and love hang in the balance in Susan May Warren's breathless story of holding on to hope during a deadly summer of storms.
Heidi here. Susan May Warren has a winner with the Montana Rescue Series. Each novel in this series has a main plot and a significant romance subplot, setting characters up for the novel they will star in. Amazing forethought on Susie's part, which makes for such an enjoyable read.
Storm Front deals with Ty Remington and Brett Arnold, who are oh so broken. They each see their flaws so brightly, yet the other sees a hero. Storm Front is a sweet romance coupled with a few serious tornadoes and rescues that are intriguing to read about.
When the Montana Rescue Series debuted, I didn't think I'd be interested in rescue missions. But when I finally read one of the earlier books, I was enthralled with what goes on in a rescue mission, all the pieces that need to play together, and the heroes that are put together in the team. I've now gone back and read the whole series and can't wait for the next one to release (which is Wait For Me, releasing in November).
Grab your copy of Storm Front by Susan May Warren today! At the time I wrote this, the first book in this series, Wild Montana Skies, was $1 on the kindle.

Troubled Waters by Susan May Warren
Billionaire Ian Shaw can have everything he wants--except a happy ending. Or at least that's what it feels like with his fortune recently liquidated, his niece, Esme, still missing, and the woman he loves refusing to speak to him. In fact, he doubts she would date him even if they were stranded on a deserted island.
Despite her love for Ian, Sierra Rose knows he has no room in his life for her as long as the mystery of his missing niece goes unsolved. The only problem is, Sierra has solved it, but a promise to Esme to keep her whereabouts secret has made it impossible to be around Ian.
When the PEAK chopper is damaged and Sierra lacks the funds to repair it, Ian offers a fundraising junket for large donors on his yacht in the Caribbean. But the three-day excursion turns into a nightmare when a rogue wave cripples the yacht and sends the passengers overboard. Shaken up and soaked to the bone, Ian finally has a chance to test his theory when he and Sierra do indeed find themselves washed up on a strange, empty shore.
It will take guts and gumption for the PEAK team to rescue the duo. But it will take a miracle to rescue Ian and Sierra's relationship.
Heidi here. Oh my, Susan May Warren writes the most captivating and broken and likable characters ~ in each and every book she authors. Troubled Waters is no exception, except maybe it's even better than her last! She wrote a craft book, Deep and Wide (which I believe has been renamed Make Your Plot Wider and Your Characters Deeper), which delves into how to do what she does ~ but I am telling you she is THE master at making characters deep and wide.
Ian and Sierra are so broken that they have no idea true love is right in front of them. Well, it may be the secrets they are keeping from each other, or the fact that they are living in the past, but however Susan May Warren does it, Troubled Waters is a thoroughly enjoyable read.
The cast of characters that has been created, the entire Peak Team members and now Ian's wealthy friends, are all multi-dimensional. Even though the reader doesn't know the characters backstory, having deep secondary characters makes the main characters even more interesting.
I highly recommend Troubled Waters as well as all of Susan May Warren novels and craft books!

A Matter of Trust by Susan May Warren
Champion backcountry snowboarder Gage Watson has left the limelight behind after the death of one of his fans. After being sued for negligence and stripped of his sponsorships, he's remade his life as a ski patrol in Montana's rugged mountains, as well as serving on the PEAK Rescue team. But he can't seem to find his footing--or forget the woman he loved, who betrayed him.
Senator and former attorney Ella Blair spends much of her time in the limelight as the second-youngest senator in the country. But she has a secret--one that cost Gage his career. More than anything, she wants to atone for her betrayal of him in the courtroom and find a way to help him put his career back on track.
When Ella's brother goes missing on one of Glacier National Park's most dangerous peaks, Gage and his team are called in for the rescue. But Gage isn't so sure he wants to help the woman who destroyed his life. More, when she insists on joining the search, he'll have to keep her safe while finding her reckless brother, a recipe for disaster when a snowstorm hits the mountain.
But old sparks relight as they search for the missing snowboarder--and suddenly, they are faced with emotions neither can deny. But when Ella's secret is revealed, can they learn to trust each other--even when disaster happens again?
Heidi here. This was the first of the Montana Rescue Series by Susan May Warren that I've read, and I simply adored it. I tend to like more of a cozy romance, but I should have known better! I didn't think I'd enjoy reading about snowboarding, but again, I should have known better! Susan May Warren had me hooked from the first page, though I must admit up front that I adore her writing. I can always count on her words to engage me, and she did it again. Gage and Ella were practically four-dimensional they were so complex, their wounds so painful I felt for them each time their past was torn open a little. The subploy of Ty and Brett was expertly woven in, can't wait to read a bit more about them in a later novel.
The premise of this book doesn't disappoint, Suzie writes such BIG books with BIG characters, and she somehow does it over and over again in fresh backdrops with unique characters. She is a master storyteller.
Can someone fall in love in just three days? Pick up A Matter of Trust and find out!
