Until Winter Comes Again

Until Winter Comes Again
By Mary Jane Hathaway

Sweet Christmas Romance. I love those. Especially in December.

I chose this book because of the cover. Yep. But look how pretty it is! As I started reading, I became aware that most of the side characters must have each had their own romance book – it was about five couples after they had gotten together, and how they all wanted this new couple to get together. Matchmaking overkill. In a good way. So when I looked it up, I realized this is book six in the Cane River series. But even though I didn’t read any of the previous stories, I enjoyed this one.

The stories revolved around a beloved bookstore in a small town. Of course, I love this factor. The small town is picturesque and filled with awesome characters! If I could travel there and meet these characters, I would!

This particular romance is definitely sweet – best friends who realize they’re in love. Perfect for a cold winter’s night by the fire. With a cup of hot chocolate in hand.

Do you read Christmas romances in December? It’s my holiday indulgence. Okay, ONE of my holiday indulgences.

Librarian + Lumberjack = Book 3

Good fifth day! Caryl McAdoo here, pleased to be with you!

As children, who remembers reading all about Paul Bunyan and his famous blue ox, Babe? I loved their stories and the over-sized hero--sixty-three axe handles tall! From Maine he came to the upper Midwest then on to the Pacific Northwest clearing timber for farm land.

So when my friend Carrie Fancett Pagels started this series, I was thrilled to be back in the land of the lumberjacks again!

And this fun, big-hearted author has just released book three, Lilacs for Juliana, in The Christy Lumber Camp Series. I must admit to loving family sagas as well, and you get to know the Christy family well! You'll want to read book one, The Fruitcake Challenge (a Selah Award Finalist), and Book two as well, The Lumberjacks' Ball.

This charming novel (at 51K words) will grab your interest and can be easily read in a day. You probably will finish it in one sitting, as you won't want to put it down. It's full of love and laughter with family obligations and misunderstandings a plenty to keep the librarian and her lumberjack apart!

All three of the lumber camp stories are full of romance and comedy, but this one may be my favorite yet :) If you've not read any of Carrie's stories--I love her Return to Shirley Plantation: A Civil War Romance, too--you'll find you have a new favorite author to keep up with!
