Amy Leigh Simpson’s debut novel begins with a murder and
spirals into an exciting romantic suspense. There are great twists along the
way, and the romance is . . . shall we say . . . hot and heavy, but CLEAN! All
the romance you could want, with none of the harmful R-rated stuff you want to
avoid.
The story takes place in St Louis, and having lived there
for a few years, the setting brought to mind fond memories of places around the
city. Simpson embeds her story into the setting and each gives life to the
other.
The mystery plot is very well done, with surprises along the
way. It could easily stand on its own—without the romance—but add the tortured
FBI agent who can’t take his mind off the gorgeous girl next door, and you’ve
got a page turner!

Love Historical Romance and certainly romance laced with suspense.
ReplyDeleteAs long as it's clean, I enjoy all romance....my favorites are MaryLu's pirate series. I want to jump into those books. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMaryLu Tyndall's pirate series.
DeleteI love historical fiction and if it has some romance, that is even better! I also enjoy mystery suspense. This debut novel sounds SO good!

I like a lot of different elements with my Historical Romances. Suspense certainly.
