Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

This was the scene outside my front door last winter, and it is one of my favorites. But then, anytime it snows is my favorite. You probably guessed by now that this is the season I love the most. Even though I live in PA, I don't always see snow as often as I would like. Perhaps it's why my husband I have contemplated moving to another state that has harder winters. :)

For me, I can never have enough snow. Each time it snows it reminds me of two Bible verses:

"As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”

These were the words God promised to Noah after the flood. You can find them in Genesis 8:22

Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean;    wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Psalm 51:7

This is the promise God gives us when we choose to have Him forgive our sins. He washes us clean, making us whiter than snow. What a wonderful assurance of His love and commitment to us.

How does God speak to you in nature?

  1. My favorite time of year is the fall. When a crispness creeps into the air after a long, hot Texas summer, I feel rejuvenated. As the leaves began to turn to their beautiful yellows, reds and oranges, I thank God for the beauty that surrounds me and I know how very blessed I am.

  2. I've always loved the fall, but after some of our winters, Spring looks mighty good. a:-) I've discovered there are so many different shades of green--just like there are so many different shades of red and brown. Great post!

  3. Gorgeous photo. It reminds me of Narnia when the children passed through the wardrobe into the winter scene. I'm not a fan of cold or snow if I have to get out in it, but I love the way it looks through the window.

  4. Glad you enjoyed the photo, Catherine. I'm not a great fan of driving in the snow either, but I love to watch it from my window.
