Alcoholism destroys more than just the alcoholic. It tears apart families. In this book, the main character gives her husband an ultimatum: alcohol or the family. He chooses to drink and leaves. Left alone in a house her great aunt left to her, she must forge ahead, making a new life but still questioning why her marriage didn't work out.
Although I've never been married, much less to an alcoholic, the book reminded me that just because God appears silent doesn't mean He's not working.
What has He done in your life that lets you know He's working?

A PROMISE KEPT sounds like a very poignant story! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win a copy. Reading the Bible and reflecting on the blessings in my life are two of the ways that I remind myself that God is always with me and working in my life. Even in difficult times, there is comfort in knowing that He is always there.
