Welcome Toni! We're so glad you could visit us today.

Thank you so much for having me! I’m excited to be here.

What made you decide to become a writer?

I’ve been an avid reader since about 10. As I got older I foolishly thought I could do better, but it wasn’t until I took a creative writing class in college that the bug bit me. From that moment on, I was writing and in 2014, I decided to be serious and finish a story.

Where did the inspiration for your latest book come from?
I wrote Buying Love for NaNoWriMo in 2015. I was brainstorming romance story ideas when it hit me. What if my heroine placed an ad in the newspaper for a husband? I know there are tons of historical romance books with this line of thought, but you rarely read about them in contemporary settings. So, Buying Love was born.

Why do you write the genre you do?

I love romance. I always have. There’s something about seeing a man and woman change for the better because of it. As a Christian writer, God’s love is my reason for being. Adding the faith element into romance makes the writing that more enjoyable for me.

How does your faith and spirituality work in with your writing?
I wouldn’t be writing if God hadn’t blessed me with the desire to write. I wanted to submit my craft to Him and use it to bring Him glory. I’ve written stories without the faith element and they fall flat in my opinion. God brings a level of emotion and being to a story. I learn something new about Him every time I write a story and it’s my hopes that the reader will too.

What are you working on next?
Currently, I’m working on book 2 in the Maple Run series. I’m trying to finish it this month so that I can start book 3. The characters in book 3 are already clamoring for my attention. J

Very interesting. Looks like you have some great stuff going on. Thank you so much for being with us!
