Christmas, Cocoa, & Copeland #Giveaway

Howdy y'all! Crystal here, and I've got a special guest for y'all and a book that will make you start thinking of Christmas if you haven't already. Why? Because Joi Copeland is here with us today sharing about her new novella Christmas Snowe and Peppermint Cocoa and giving away a copy to one of this post's participants as a present.

Welcome to Stitches Thru Time, Joi. For those of us who don't have the privilege of knowing you, tell us a bit about yourself.
I am married to a wonderful man, Chris, and have three amazing boys, Garrison, Gage, and Gavin. Right now, I live in Denver, Colorado, but by next year, we hope to be living in Ireland as missionaries.

My love of writing began at a young age. I wrote short stories for several years, and in 2009, began writing my first novel, Hope for Tomorrow.

My books now include:
Missionaries to Ireland?! That's awesome!
Congratulations on your newest release! What is your story about?
Thank you! My newest release, Christmas Snowe and Peppermint Cocoa, is about a woman who is so guilt ridden over what she’d done in her past, she can’t seem to allow God to forgive her. It’s a story based on redemption and hope.

What a great theme! Where did you get the inspiration for your story?
My son and I were talking about sin and how God views each sin as the same. Different consequences, but sin is sin. He had a tough time grasping that, and I wanted to show that sin is sin, and God forgives each sin that is asked of Him.

Hallelujah for that! What do you hope folks will take away from your story?
I hope folks will realize God loves them, no matter what sin they’ve committed. I hope that we all, as believers, will love people and forgive them, because none of us are perfect.

A wonderful take-away point even for today. Thanks so much for sharing, and speaking of sharing, do you have a favorite scene in the book? If so, can you tell us a bit about it?
I love quoting lines from movies or television shows with family members. There are a few scenes where that happens, and I love it. :)

What do you plan to work on next?
I’m working Shamrock Inn, a sequel to Christmas Snowe. This is Angela’s story, Tanner’s mom. Loving this one!

Awesome! Where can readers connect with you? Where can readers buy your book(s)?
Last but not least, what is the quirkiest thing you've ever done?
There are so many quirky things, it is quite difficult to pick just one. But the one I will tell you about made my husband fall in love with me. I had just been to the dentist, and we’d only been dating for a month or two. I wanted to see if I could flare my nostrils with being numb. As it turned out, I could! I called and left him a message informing him of my victory. He turned to his co-worker and told her he was going to marry me! :)

Ha-ha! That is definitely a tale you don't hear everyday. :) Thanks so much for sharing with us today, Joi. It's been wonderful learning more about you and your new novella Christmas Snowe and Peppermint Cocoa

Everyone, doesn't that title just make you want to grab a book and curl up in a chair with a blazing fire, cozy blanket, and cocoa? Well, perhaps we can help you a step in that direction. Leave a comment on this post to be entered in a drawing for a FREE copy (ebook or print--winner's choice) of Christmas Snowe and Peppermint Cocoa. (Winner to be announced in Monday's Weekly Windup post.)

How do you like to enjoy your books? In the recliner? Hammock? Beach-side view? Have you already started prepping for Christmas?

  2. I enjoy reading just about anywhere...as long as it's not too loud around me. Have I begun prepping for Christmas? Nope. I have 3 grandchildren celebrating birthdays this month and next, so that's what I am prepping for now. Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy of Christmas Snowe and Peppermint Cocoa.

  4. I read in my recliner, on my couch, in bed before getting up and at bedtime. Anywhere I can get comfortable and cozy. Haven't done any prepping for Christmas yet, but close. This looks like a wonderful story. Thank you for the giveaway. Bless you.

  5. I have a recliner that is near our fireplace and it faces both our tv and the windows that offer me a beautiful view of rolling hills dotted with trees. This is where I also read and I am a big fan of drinking hot cocoa as I sit and read. No, I haven't begun Christmas preparations but I know that it will soon arrive.
Thanks for sharing Joi's interview and this book sounds lovely!
