Two Are Better Than One

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
    two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

I have been reminded lately of the strength of having someone else to walk beside us and carry our burdens. Sometimes it's physical but most times it's spiritual. I know my heart is uplifted when I share the concerns that are weighing me down and have a friend come alongside me to cover the issue in prayer.

What a joy to know that Christ is always there and doing the same for us. He knows our struggles and concerns before we even give voice to them. He is the key ingredient that keeps the cord strong. What more could we want then to have the assurance that He loves us and cares what we are going through.

How can I be praying for you today?
