Special Birthday Guest Roseanna M. White #bookgiveaway

Today I am SUPER excited to introduce the amazing Roseanna M. White! She pens her novels beneath her Betsy Ross flag, with her Jane Austen action figure watching over her. When not writing fiction, she’s homeschooling her two children, editing and designing, and pretending her house will clean itself. Roseanna is the author of over a dozen historical novels and novellas, ranging from biblical fiction to American-set romances to her British series. Spies and war and mayhem always seem to make their way into her novels…to offset her real life, which is blessedly boring. She passes said boring life with her husband and kids in the beautiful mountains of eastern West Virginia. You can learn more about her and her stories at www.RoseannaMWhite.com.

Welcome Roseanna! We're so glad you could stop by for our Birthday Bash!
Have Birthdays played a part in any of your books?

Honestly, I rarely assign my characters’ birthdays (which shocked and appalled my 11-year-old daughter, LOL). Though the epilogue of The Reluctant Duchess is set during the hero’s birthday party!

What is your most recent book birthday?
That would be on July 4! Made it pretty fun—and a wee bit ironic, since A Name Unknown is set in England. ;-) It’s set in London and Cornwall of 1914, just before the outbreak of the first World War. We have our heroine, Rosemary Gresham, one of London’s best thieves, out to steal the good name of a reclusive gentleman of German descent, Peter Holstein. And Peter certainly has secrets, linked to what he does all day at his typewriter. But when he hires Rosemary on as a library to bring order to his disaster of a library, neither have a clue about the adventure they’re in for.

If your main character was invited to our birthday party, would they come? What would they bring?
Peter would be hard-pressed. He stutters, which has made him a bit reclusive, and he usually avoids parties. Though Rosemary might cajole him into it. She loves such things—and the noisier, the better! If they arrived, you can be sure they’d have found the perfect gift for the birthday boy or girl…and Rosemary would swear she didn’t steal it. Giving stolen gifts is against family policy. ;-)

If we ask your main character to sing us a happy birthday song, what would happen?
Rosemary would pull her “sister” Willa over to provide accompaniment on her violin, and her “brother” Barclay would lead the chorus—their adopted family has many talents, but music isn’t Rosie’s!

That would be fantastic. Any way you can make your characters hop off the page and do that for us today? ;)
What was your most memorable birthday? Why?
Probably, horribly, my sixth—the hill next to my house caught fire and blazed through the evening of my party. Gave me a phobia for years! If we’d rather have a happy example, LOL, perhaps my 16th, which I spent at the beach…or my 30th, for which my hubby sent me to the spa for a pedicure…or maybe my 29th, which I spent flying across the country to Oregon for the first writers conference I attended as an editor. Hard to choose, LOL!

Alright, time for the Rapid Fire Round!
Birthday cake or Ice Cream?
Ice cream cake—best of both worlds!

Bingo! Streamers or confetti poppers?
Streamers—I am not picking up that confetti, LOL.

Haha, said like a true mother. Do you like surprise parties?
Bring ’em on!

Books or gift cards?
Makes no difference, as gift cards would likely be spent on books anyway.

Oh, touche. Okay, as we wrap it up today, where can readers find you online?
