Have you ever bought a craft kit in a flurry of
excitement, only to find it was a little more involved than you realized? I
ordered this Plaid Bucilla Snowman Stocking Kit last fall to make as a gift for
a family member. You have to admit it is a cute.
When
the felt kit arrived, I opened it, eager to get started, but stopped in my tracks
when I spotted all those beads and sequins. Time was short with holiday
obligations and I soon realized this kit would have to wait for another day. Often,
I would glance at it and sigh. I’d never done beading before and wondered if
I’d ever get brave enough to try.
I pulled it out again this year and you know what? I
love the beading. It is so fun and adds that special bit of glitz
that makes a project pop. It is time consuming, but I think the end result
will be worth it. I'm almost done with the beading on top.If a project seems intimidating, don’t let it stop you. Give it a try anyway.You may discover a new craft to enjoy in the process.
