A visit with author Erin Unger

I am so very pleased to introduce you all to author, Erin Unger. She was raised in the hills of Virginia, exploring abandoned houses and reading the scariest books she could find. After marrying so young it would make a great romance novel, she has enjoyed an exciting life with her hubby. But her fast-paced life sometimes rivals the suspense in her books thanks to all her mostly grown children and a couple grandkids.

What is your favorite thing about being an author?

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love people. I’m what I call an extreme extrovert. In other words, I can’t do anything alone, lol. I love to surround myself with people and to go places far and near to visit friends. This also means I love interaction with my readers. It makes it easier to be a writer when you don’t mind a lot of social time through media and events.

What do you want readers to come away with after reading your books?

The most important thing for my readers to take away from Fateful Fall and all my other books is the power of God and how He is there even in the worst of times. I pray my readers can really grasp the truth that even though bad things happen to good people, God has a plan and a redemption for every person.

When you are stressed, maybe a deadline’s approaching too fast, what is your favorite snack food? Or so you have another way to cope?

This is going to sound a little weird but I love Vienna sausages when I’m feeling the pressure of deadlines or scenes that don’t seem to want to come together.

Oh, that sound really good, actually. And a whole lot healthier than chocolate. ;)
If time and money were not a concern, what one skill would you like to learn?

My biggest problem right now is learning how to market my books effectively. If it was possible, I would definitely go back to college and study marketing.

That would be very usefull!
What is your favorite thing about where you live?

For years we lived in neighborhoods where our neighbors were literally feet away. At first it didn’t bother me, but as time went by I began to hate the lack of privacy. We just moved to a house out in the country with mountain scenes that wow me every time I pass them. It makes me so thankful to be out where the trees and hills surround me.

What are you working on next?

My next project is a rewrite of one of my earlier manuscripts called Expired Coupons: Buy One, Get Dead Free. It had won several awards years ago but never made it into the published world. I’m thrilled to get my hands on it and remake it into a better story! There’s nothing like an extreme couponer who finds a body in her favorite store. Shenanigans will result, I assure you.

LOL, that sounds fun. Thank you so much for joining us today. For the readers, I hope you all check out Erin's newest release:
