An Inconvenient Beauty by Kristi Ann Hunter

Isabella Breckenridge has joined her cousin for Isabella's debut in society. Her uncle agrees to take care of her financially-strained family, providing she helps him. To do so, she must attract as many suitors as possible, particularly ones who will support her uncle's apothecary bill.  She doesn't plan on falling in love.

Griffith, Duke of Riverton, is ruled by logic and an orderly life. He's used to being in control. Using that logic, he has come up with a rational decision of who will be his best bride to suit his methodical ways - Frederica St. Claire, Isabella's cousin.

The more time Griffith spends with Isabella, he finds himself connecting with her instead of her cousin.

An Inconvenient Beauty is a delightful end to the Hawthorne House Series by Kristi Ann Hunter. I've eagerly looked forward to each of the books in this series and am sad to see it come to a close. Kristi Ann is an accomplished author who has readers eagerly turning pages and sad when the story comes to an end. You'll want to check out the other books in this series. You won't be disappointed. I give it a 5 out of 5 for happily-ever-afters.
