Lay Down Your Burden by Jamin Baldwin

Do you ever feel like the cares of this life are weighing you down, almost suffocating the life out of you?

I have.

Housework, jobs, car repairs, disagreements, kids, spouse, prayer time, difficult decisions...the list goes on and on...

It seems an easy enough task for people to tell you to lay down your burdens, but aren't there some things that are my responsibility to carry? Aren't there some things that are my job to work out?

While listening to the morning sermon the other day it dawned on me. The answer.

Jesus said "My yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

So, if you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, You're carrying too much!!

God didn't exempt us from carrying some things. After all He told us to take up our cross and follow Him.

So, if you feel burdened down, begin laying things down at the feet of Jesus. Stop thinking its your JOB to worry and fret about everyone and every thing.

Lay down those cares, one by one until you feel LIGHT!

Don't allow the cares of this life, the day to day drudgery, to overshadow the Light in your life.

In addition to writing historical novellas and poetry, Jamin is also a song writer and sings at her local church. She has been a volunteer as a Sunday school teacher and the VBS decorating coordinator for the past three years. With her Irish/Native American roots firmly planted in SE Ohio, Jamin enjoys the simple life on her small farm with her husband. Where she homeschools their three small children. Her writing styles range from inspirational to romance. Seeking plots and ideas for her novellas that stray outside the ordinary. Yet, drawing inspiration from every day life.
