Tanya Eavenson is back! #giveaway

Howdy y'all! Crystal here and guess who I've got here with me today? Tanya Eavenson! (You must've read the post title. ;) ) She's got a new release she's share with us, including some sneak peeks and an eBook giveaway, do let's get this party started!

Welcome back to Stitches Thru Time, Tanya. Tell the folks a bit about yourself.

Thank you, Crystal! I’m so excited to be with you all again! I’m a wife and a mom of three who enjoys books, coffee, and chocolate. Even as I’m writing to you all, I have a mug of coffee, an open Tracie Peterson novel, and a Dove chocolate alongside me! When I’m not reading, drinking coffee, or eating chocolate, I’m writing stories the Lord has placed on my heart. I’m an inspirational romance author with two novels published, but I’ve also written several Bible studies that have been translated into different languages and published with Christ to the World Ministries. My life, including this writing journey God has called me to, all seem to revolve around one phrase--to walk by faith and not by sight.

Congratulations on your newest release! Tell us a bit about your story, Restored.

RESTORED is a story about lost love being given a second chance when it’s least expected. Here’s the blurb.

Dr. Steven Moore is known nationally for saving lives. If only he could save his own. Unable to deal with his cancer prognosis, he retreats to a happier time in his past—to the woman who once stole his heart.

Four years after the death of her beloved husband, bookstore owner Elizabeth Roberts still struggles to sustain her faith and joy in the Lord as she raises her two sons. She strives to find a way through her family's grief, never suspecting a man from her past might offer hope for her future.

But how can there be a future when he's only come to kiss her and says good-bye?

Where did you get the inspiration for your story?

I had the idea for RESTORED about six years ago, but struggled to write it. Several times in fact I started then stopped. I ended up placing it on a shelf and walked away, but for some reason it always lingered in my heart. It was after my cancer diagnosis and a couple years later that it all started to come together. I believe it was God’s timing and He was using the hardships with my health and doubts in my life to bring my hero, Steven, to becoming a more rounded character. Steven learns that God is the Restorer of our souls, our hearts, our relationships, our families, and our health. In Him all things can be restored, even when we think all things are lost. Steven’s story is one of restoration and the realization that anything is possible with God no matter the circumstances.

What do you hope folks will take away from your story?

I hope readers will take away the fact that God is our hope, our comfort, and our fortress. He is faithful--when those tough times come, and they will, He will never leave us. He is the One who gives us hope, a future, and a peace that transcends all understanding.
I dedicated RESTORED to those whose faith is shaken. To anyone who is searching. To anyone who needs to believe in the impossible. For as Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

Do you have a favorite scene in the book? If so, can you tell us a bit about it?

Well, I’ll admit, I have several favorite scenes. Here’s just a few snippets of those scenes from Restored.

What do you plan to work on next?

I’m changing gears from Contemporary to Historical Romance. I’m working on a series of novels set in the late 1800’s. The first novel in the ALL ROADS LEAD TO TEXAS series is called The Rescue which will be releasing this fall! Each heroine has circumstances that will drive them to a small town in Texas. This series has been such an adventure to write and I’m looking forward to introducing them to my readers.

Where can readers connect with you? Where can readers buy your book(s)?

    1. Appreciate it, Deb! Here's a little story behind the third meme. I had just finished making it when the publisher's cover artist asked for a symbol to add to the cover. I looked at my computer screen and there it was. Roses. =) Grateful to you for saying hello! Hope you enjoy Restored!

  8. I enjoyed the first one, Swing and a Miss. As a parent, I struggled with "how much do I help and when do I allow her to do it on her own"? Don't you think God often feels that way with his children?

    1. Great question, Connie! I wish I knew. =) But I do know I feel the same way with my children at times. Thankfully God directs our steps as parents. And I'm so glad you enjoyed "Swing and a Miss" with my hero, Steven. Thank you for stopping by! Have a lovely week!
