Justice for All

Hot off the Press!!!
Justice for All by Christy Truitt is like a John Grisham novel slathered with a Southern woman’s warmth, a dot of humor, and a side of romance.

The heroine is KD Jennings, a self-deprecating law student with bills piling up and a clinically depressed mother to keep an eye on. KD works full time as a paralegal, squeezing law school into the cracks of her life while also juggling difficulties at home. And then Trip Folsom starts to flirt with her. As if she had time or energy for that. But it’s kinda nice.

KD’s boss, Ezra, takes on a monumental new case when a wrongful death suit literally walks through the door. Of course, he’s never tried such a case, but no small town lawyer could possibly turn down an opportunity to settle a case like this out of court with the cash-rich insurance companies. Especially a lawyer who just had his financial clock cleaned by his ex-wife.

But the case doesn’t go as Ezra planned. And neither does KD’s relationship with Trip. The two law students find themselves on opposite sides of a case that becomes not only highly publicized, but also painfully personal.

I love how Truitt brings KD’s delightful personality out, scene by scene. And Trip is definitely a guy you want to root for. Spiritual implications in the story are thought provoking and written with an easy touch. The story plays out at just the right speed, bending and twisting like the river Truitt loves to write about.

A legal thriller refined with depth of character and personal triumph, Justice for All is not to be missed.

Disclaimer: Christy Truitt is a dear friend of mine and I was privileged to be part of the critique team on this novel as it was written. That said, this book will not disappoint and this author is one to watch. The book just dropped on Tuesday, and you can buy it here!

    1. It's easy to get sucked into those legal stories . . . I think we are all a little bit afraid we'll end up in the middle of one for real! :-)
