Allow me to introduce Annslee Urban! Annslee grew up watching old-time romance
movies, which she attributes to her passion for sweet romance, true love and
happy endings. A daydreamer at heart, Annslee began her writing journey when
the youngest of her five children started school. For several years she worked
as a freelance writer for newspapers in her community and has written for
magazines and online publications.
Raised in the foothills of Arizona, she survived
temperature shock when she moved to Western Pennsylvania, before setting in
North Carolina with her husband and children. Aside from writing, Annslee works
part-time as a Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Health field. She is a member
of ACFW, and has served as on the board of Carolina Christian Writers. She
currently has 4 published novels. Her current book, Broken Silence, Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense, came out in March
2015.
When she isn’t writing, Annslee enjoys cooking,
traveling to faraway places, playing with grandbabies and all things chocolate!

What made you decide
to become a writer?
I was somewhat
of a daydreamer long before I was a writer. From the time I was young, I was
weaving up stories in my head. I loved Cinderella fairytales, sweet romance and
happy endings. My three daughters also love classic fairytale love stories so
when the last of my children started school, I started writing a story with
them in mind. And I found something that
I loved!
Where did the
inspiration for your latest book come from?
My
inspiration for my book Broken Silence came
from my years working as a nurse in the behavioral health field. So many young
women have endured painful abuse and many harbor it, blaming themselves and
accepting responsibility for someone else’s deeds. I wanted to write a story of
encouragement to women.
How does your faith
and spirituality work in with your writing?
I could have never
been an author without Christ giving me the passion, perseverance and the
ability. Faith and God’s truth is a common thread in all my stories. I hope my
stories encourage the reader and hopefully bring them to deeper understanding
of God’s goodness, faithfulness and love. I thrills me to know that by writing
Inspirational Romance God is able to use me to hopefully draw others closer to
Him.

I have another
Inspirational Romantic Suspense in works!
