A Most Inconvenient... Page-Turner

Howdy y'all! Crystal here. I needed a break from writing so I decided to pick up a book... many hours later it was 2 a.m. and I still hadn't gone to bed. LOL. Ever been there? I'm sure I'm not alone.

Well, I forced myself to put the book down, but I did finish it the next day. What book am I talking about? A Most Inconvenient Marriage by Regina Jennings.

Regina kept me turning pages and loving the twists and turns that she filled them with. She definitely knows how to implement the confusion that a relationship can bring.

Abigail Stewart, a wartime nurse,  marries a dying Jeremiah Calhoun, promising to return to his horse farm and care for his ailing sister and help his mother with the horses. Only the real Jeremiah Calhoun shows up very much alive and very much surprised to find a rather disarming woman claiming to be his widow. A most inconvenient problem indeed. :-)

A definite recommend but be prepared to spend a lot of time reading once you start. :-)

What was the last book you read that kept you up until the late hours of the night?

  1. The latest would have to be "The Buddha in the Attic" by Julie Otsuka. An extraordinary little book.

  2. My most recent sleep-depriving book was "A Sparrow in Terezin" by Kristy Cambron. It's the second in her Masterpiece series and just as riveting as the first book.
