Who am I? #Giveaway

Howdy y'all! Crystal Barnes, here, and I'm super excited to spend this month celebrating our third birthday with y'all! We're going to be taking a break from our normal Wednesday line-up. Each Wednesday in August we'll be having a fun birthday post. Today, I've got a guessing game for y'all and a prize for the first person who gets the most answers correct. :)

So, here we go...

See if you can guess correctly which Stitches Contributor is described below. I'll post the answers later in the comments, so stay tuned... ;)
  1. I love to go garage sale hopping every Saturday. Who am I?
  2. I'm 1/3 Irish. Also, I once played the same piano that George Beverly Shea did at The Cove in Asheville, NC. Who am I?
  3. In grade school, I could do more sit-ups than anyone else in my class...even the boys. :) Who am I? (This might be true of more than one person, but what's your best guess?)
  4. When I was 16, I cut a record of an original song I wrote, and it was actually played on the radio. Who am I?
  5. Who am I?
My 5th grade teacher introduced our class to Shakespeare by having us perform MacBeth. I was Witch #1 (You know, "Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble"), and my cauldron was mounted on a dolly that I rolled around the stage. At one point I rolled over my cape and trapped myself to the point where I couldn't move. I had to be saved by Witch #2. :) Who am I?
  6. I was an extra in the first Hunger Games movie. You can see me in several places - I am in the gamemaker’s center. One of the people in white, working in a bank of work stations in a circular room - a hologram of the arena is in the center. I actually sat next to Donald Sutherland in the make up chair! Who am I?
  7. I collect skeleton keys and nutcrackers. Who am I?
  8. I've seen a UFO, not a fuzzy light in the sky, but within about 25 yards. I was driving home from nightschool when I saw what I thought was a plane at first. As I got closer I knew it wasn't a plane, so I assumed it was a helicopter. It was descending like a helicopter. When I got right up to it, I turned off the radio and rolled down the windows. Yes, it was about the size of a helicopter, but round with revolving blue lights and its landing gear was coming down. It made no sound at all. I didn't stick around to investigate. I thought it might be a government experiment and surely I'd hear reports of sightings. I heard nothing and I said nothing. Until now. But like the X-Files, I believe. Who am I?
  9. Who am I?
I love playing games and hate to lose! My favorite is a 70s book game called Acquire. It's a game of high finance. Buying and selling and trading stock in hotel chains. We've played upwards to FIFTY games in a weekend! I'm the score keeper, and we add up totals for a monthly winner. I keep those added for who wins the year. I have score books from the 80s!! Who am I?
  10. I was on a YMCA swim team and missed going to Nationals by half a second in the 50 free style. I got to go anyway, because my dad drove one of the buses. Along with my mom and brother, I had a nice vacation and didn't have to work out. Who am I?
  11. I was a competitive gymnast from age 3 to age 15 and love to sing southern gospel music and hymns. Who am I?
  12. I have a robin's egg blue, all original, 57 Belair Chevy sedan that I (and my husband) am restoring back to its original glory...which means I'm also plotting a duel-time love story involving the original purchase and restoration of a 57 Chevrolet! Who am I?

Okay, start your guessing. Whoever gets the most correct first will get their choice of one of my books (ebook or paperback).

The winner will be announced in the Weekly Windup post on Monday, so be sure to stay tuned. :)

    2. Hi Debbie! Since I've told someone else the ones they guessed correctly, I figured I'd do the same for you. You were right where Laura Poole and Terri are concerned. Good job on that. Feel free to give another guess. :D

    1. Lientjie, you've got 4 out of 12 correct now! Bravo!

Number 3 was probably correct about me too, but that one actually was sent to me by one of our other contributors. Here's a hint for mine--my mom used to say I walked on my hands more than my feet growing up. :)

    2. I'm guessing your #11 then?

I've never been able to walk on my hands, though I've tried a few times. :)

    3. Yes, ma'am. That's be me. :) I was known more for my power than my grace. :)
