THREE B’S OF SURVIVAL AND SHERIFF BRIDES

Old Chisholm Trail, the cowboys survived on the three B’s: beans, biscuits and bacon.
Today, we can still survive by following a similar recipe: Belief, Beatitudes and Benefits.
To survive in the world today and have a good life, the first requirement is belief.  There are many belief systems to be found. Yet, they do not all have the same power to help us.  In the historically accurate story of Daniel in the lions den, the king had demanded that all people bow to a statue of him three times a day.  Daniel understood that his God required belief in Him and only Him.  So Daniel continued to bow only to the God of Israel.
When the king heard of it, he had Daniel thrown into the lions den.  Of course, the true God showed up and closed the mouth of the lions and Daniel was unhurt.  Because Daniel served the only God with true power, the king set Daniel as a powerful ruler in the kingdom.
If we choose to believe in this same God: Christ, he will give us power to survive.  We choose this by accepting that we are sinners in this world, that Jesus Christ and His death on the cross is the only way to receive forgiveness.  We ask Christ to forgive us of our sins, and we believe that He has forgiven us. This is called Salvation.
Once we are grounded in our belief system, we should then follow the next step in the recipe of survival; The Beatitudes.
MT 5:3  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
MT 5:4  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
MT 5:5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
MT 5:6  Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
MT 5:7  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
MT 5:8  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
MT 5:9  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.
MT 5:10  Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness` sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
God has His own recipe for blessing our lives.  Living our lives by the standard set up in the beatitudes, we can be assured that God will bless us in our lives.
The final step in our recipe is Benefits.  At this time, with our belief set and our lives conformed by the beatitudes, we are allowed to partake in the benefits.  Remember that Daniel was set up as a great leader because he chose to follow the same recipe we are required to follow today.
Your benefit may be increased earnings, peace at home, and health to your loved ones.  God has an abundance of benefits for you to gain. The only pre-existing condition that  He recognizes is: once you were a sinner, but now you are saved. Take time in your life to stir up this spiritual recipe; Belief, Beatitudes and Benefits; then your life will be empowered with the strength to survive.
