Introducing Special Guest Rebekah Millet, with #Giveaway!

Break out the cake and ice cream, folks! We've got a special Birthday Bash guest visiting with us today! I've invited friend and critique partner Rebekah Millet to share a little bit about herself and her book. Take the stage, Rebekah. I'll be back after I spread more confetti and balloons. :)

Rebekah Millet, Christian Author

Hey y’all! I’m Rebekah Millet, and I write fun, Christian fiction.

A New Orleans native, I grew up on red beans & rice and king cakes. But if I had my pick of anywhere else to live, I'd plop myself right down on a Florida beach. Math is my #1 enemy with spiders running a close second. I love my family, chocolate doberge cake, cloudy days (even when at the beach), laughter, and Alfred Hitchcock movies. I have a black thumb in gardening (fake flowers aren't even safe), speak Seinfeldese and get way too caught up in Downton Abbey (Psst- Julian - Please bring back Matthew. He could haunt the place.)

As a reader I enjoy YA, contemporary, Christian fiction, classics, adventure and biographies on people from King Henry the VIII to Cary Grant. I love talking about books with my girls in the Time Zones Will Not Defeat Us Book Club (#TZWNDUBC). We span six countries, but still have loads of fun!

I’m wrapping up my first book, 15 DAYS. Here’s a little blurb I hope you’ll enjoy!
Matthew Roberts has been England’s hottest actor in Hollywood for the past ten years, and God’s been steadily calling him, but he doesn’t know it. Desperate for a break from his frenzied career and the damaging unease it’s brought, he plans a getaway with his best friend. A backwoods Louisiana town is their low-key destination. There Matt meets Ella, his friend’s cousin. The sassy, down to earth Southern beauty has everything Matt’s never found in any other woman. Unfortunately, he’s the opposite of Ella’s celebrity-hating, broken-hearted desires. As Matt seeks Ella, God seeks to lead Matt in a new direction. Is he ready to trade in his SAG card for the Bible?

Since I don’t have a book to give away yet, I’m offering up an AMAZON GIFT CARD. To enter just “Follow” me on Twitter or “Like” my Facebook page. Doing both will get you a double entry. If you’ve already done one or both of those (YAY!), then just leave a comment below and you’ll be all set for the drawing.

I've had a sneak peak into that book, and let me tell you, it'll hook ya.

Okay, folks, time for cake and PRESENTS! Go after that gift card! Then let me know what your favorite kind of cake is.

Thanks for partying with us today, Rebekah. And best wishes with that book!

  3. Hello Rebekah. I think your future book sounds like a sweet and fun romance, as well as very God-centered. Just the way I like it. I was all ready to check it out before you mentioned that you didn't have a book out yet. When do you think it will be available? I'm following you on twitter and FB, so hopefully I will see you mention its release in the near future. Best wishes for your writing endeavors. Terrill Rosado

Welcome to the blog, Rebekah! I'm so honored to host you today. Ya, ya'll, 15 Days is a winner, I'm pretty sure. Personally, I don't think you'll have to wait too long to see it get published. :)

My favorite cake of ALL TIME is coconut cream cake. Augh, not good for the diet, but irresistible nonetheless. Spice cake runs as a second.

  11. Another black thumb here! The only houseplant we have my husband tends to, and the outside flower beds, well I mostly help with the weeding=)

I liked you on FB and followed on Twitter.

Your upcoming book sounds great. I have been reading quite a bit of contemporary fiction lately, and this sounds like one to watch for!

As far as cake goes I'm not to picky, but I guess I would say a good texas sheet cake.
