Catch a Falling Star by Beth Vogt
In this sweet story, two characters are thrown together and appear as if
they are doomed to always be at odds. I love when a romance
starts out this way. The tone is lighthearted and the story is dotted with
humor, even as the characters deal with some weighty issues.
The hero is a military pilot, the heroine is a doctor. Two interesting careers are explored in a very entertaining way. The pilot is facing possible
grounding while he tries to become a parent to his much younger brother. The
doctor is happy, but lonely. Her younger sister is pressing her to give up her
grandmother’s ring since it looks like she’s never getting married.
This is a really fun romance. It’s easy to read, pays homage
to a beautiful setting (CO) and contains lots of fun details. You’ll especially
love it if you know something about Jeeps.
I so enjoyed the stories behind each character. All the
action felt very true to each individual character and they felt like real people. It’s
one of the highest compliments I can give - these made up characters felt real
to me.
Lots of romances pit two very unlikely characters against
one another and almost dare them to fall in love. Do you think this happens in

I realize authors are always plugging their latest books. But I can't keep up with everyone's newest release, so I like to give a little love to the "older" kids too. :-) Remember when the new baby arrives and there were a few wonderful souls who would send gifts for the big kids too? :-)
ReplyDeleteJennifer, I can't keep up with all the new releases, either. I just read Lori Benton's debut novel, Burning Sky, as well as Hillary Manton Lodge's -- A Table by the Window. And I love when readers discover my earlier books!
